President Milanović Receives Representatives of Five Engineering Chambers on the Occasion of the 25th Anniversary of their Activity
The President of the Republic Zoran Milanović received today representatives of five engineering chambers – the Croatian Chamber of Architects, the Croatian Chamber of Civil Engineers, the Croatian Chamber of Certified Geodetic Engineers, the Croatian Chamber of Mechanical Engineers and the Croatian Chamber of Electrical Engineers – on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of their activity.
The formal session marking the 25th anniversary of the activity of the five chambers was held in February of this year under the auspices of the President of the Republic, for which the representatives thanked him. At the meeting, the representatives of the engineering chambers presented to President Milanović their professional organizations that bring together up to twenty thousand members, including the more than nine thousand members in the Croatian Chamber of Civil Engineers. Although each of the chambers operates separately, they said that they cooperate well and coordinate their activities in order to protect the interests of the profession and to protect the public interest in the field of spatial planning, which they consider to be their key role.
Attending the meeting in the Office of the President of the Republic were the president of the Croatian Chamber of Architects Rajka Bunjevac and secretary general Gabrijela Kosović; the president of the Croatian Chamber of Civil Engineers Nina Dražin Lovrec and secretary general Jasminka Trzun; the president of Croatian Chamber of Mechanical Engineers Darko Slivar and the head of the Office of the President and General Affairs Smiljka Pavić; the president of the Croatian Chamber of Electrical Engineers Natko Vučković and secretary general Amela Čizmar and the president of the Croatian Chamber of Certified Geodetic Engineers Vedran Car and secretary general Ivan Remeta.
Alongside President Milanović was the Special Adviser to the President for the Economy Velibor Mačkić.
