President Milanović Meets with Homeland War Veterans from Guards Brigades and Special Police

The President of the Republic Zoran Milanović met today with representatives of Croatian Homeland War veterans’ associations and associations of Special Police veterans from the Croatian Defence Council (HVO). The meeting focused on the status of veterans from the Croatian Guards Brigades and Special Police units who served during the Homeland War, as well as the ongoing challenges many veterans continue to face.

The delegation included Zoran Maras, Honorary President of the Association of Special Police from the Homeland War; Siniša Troha, President of the Union of Association of Veterans of the Croatian Guards Brigades; and Zdenko Jurić, President of the Association of Special Police from the Homeland War of the CR HB.

President Milanović was accompanied by Marijan Mareković, Adviser to the President of the Republic for Homeland War Veterans.
