The President of the Republic Zoran Milanović attended the official opening of a glamping village at the Terme Tuhelj spa resort, where he said that investments such as this at Terme Tuhelj are the right and only sustainable approach and “a fine, small but in no way ostentatious luxury for people who work, make money, and want to take a break.”

“This is the way in which Croatia should develop as a tourist destination. Croatia is a small country in terms of population size, but in terms of the number of tourist arrivals and overnight stays, it is a global giant and overburdened, so investments like this one are the right approach, not just here but also on the Adriatic. This is an excellent project that will be replicated,” President Milanović added in his address.

The President recalled that the spa resort was opened in the 1980s and was the best spa resort in the former Yugoslavia. “Even though in the 1990s it got into financial trouble, an excellent investor with the know-how showed up and gradually developed the spa complex in Tuhelj, creating what today is the best spa resort in Southern Europe,” said President Milanović.

“I want you to be fully booked and have as many guests as possible. And corona will end when we stop talking about it so much. We need to be responsible, careful and, above all, protect the sick and most vulnerable groups, but we should no longer lock ourselves up in our homes,” President Milanović underscored.
