President Milanović on Official Visit to Georgia
At the invitation of the President of Georgia Mikheil Kavelashvili, the President of the Republic of Croatia Zoran Milanović and his spouse Sanja Musić Milanović will pay an official visit to Georgia on Thursday and Friday 12-13 February 2026. During the official visit to Georgia, President Milanović will first meet with President Kavelashvili in Tbilisi, and then with the Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Kobakhidze and the Chairperson of the Parliament of Georgia Shalva Papuashvili.
As part of President Milanović’s official visit to Georgia, a meeting of Croatian and Georgian businesspeople is also planned. The companies Končar – Elektroindustrija, Podravka, Franck, Kraš and Sano have shown interest in exporting to the Georgian market and in business cooperation with Georgian businesspeople. There is also interest for cooperation on the Georgian side, so representatives of about 20 Georgian companies and institutions are expected to attend the meeting of businesspeople.
That there is room and interest in developing economic cooperation between the two states is also shown by the fact that a number of Croatian companies are already present in Georgia, such as IGH, JGL and SPAN, and deals are being negotiated by DOK-ING and Dalekovod. Total trade in goods in 2024 amounted to 18.3 million euros, with Croatia continuously achieving a large surplus.
