President Milanović Receives Neretva River Boatmen Association Delegation and Accepts Patronage of the 29th Neretva Ladja Marathon
The President of the Republic Zoran Milanović today received a delegation from the Neretva River Boatmen Association, which included the Association’s President Luka Oršulić, Supervisory Committee President Ante Šprlje, Secretary Luka Liković, and Management Board members Tomislav Miletić and Nikica Družijanić.
The representatives of the Neretva River Boatmen Association briefed President Milanović on the preparations for this year’s 29th Neretva Ladja Marathon, scheduled for 8 August 2026. According to the Association’s representatives, the preparations are proceeding according to plan. Furthermore, they expect this year’s Marathon to once again successfully showcase the long-standing tradition of river navigation in the Neretva Valley. The Neretva Ladja Marathon consists of men’s and women’s ladja crew races, as well as speed trials.
As they do every year, the Neretva River Boatmen Association requested the patronage of the President of the Republic for this year’s 29th edition of the Marathon, which President Milanović accepted.
President Milanović was accompanied by Adviser of the President for Human Rights and Civil Society, Melita Mulić.
