As host, the President of the Republic Zoran Milanović participated in the “Diplomatic Grape Harvest” in Plešivica, an event organized for heads of diplomatic missions and international organizations accredited to the Republic of Croatia. The event was organized by the Town of Jastrebarsko, and this year’s “Diplomatic Grape Harvest” in Jaska took place at the Režek family vineyard in Lokošin Dol.

Before the grape harvest began, diplomats accredited to the Republic of Croatia were welcomed by Jastrebarsko Mayor Zvonimir Novosel and winemaker and host Krešimir Režek. The Režek family is one of the oldest wine-growing and winemaking families in Plešivica, with a tradition dating back to the 18th century. Today, the Režek family successfully combines its rich family heritage with a modern approach to the production of wines and sparkling wines, showcasing the quality and potential of the Plešivica wine region.

Held for the eleventh time this year, the “Diplomatic Grape Harvest” is a traditional event and an opportunity to promote not only the Plešivica region but also Croatian culture and traditions associated with the customs of grape harvesting.
