President Milanović Meets with Representatives of Adriatic Aerospace Association (A3)

The President of the Republic Zoran Milanović met in his Office with representatives of the Adriatic Aerospace Association (A3), a non-governmental, non-profit and independent association founded with the aim to foster research and development in the aerospace sector, catalyse project development as regional point-of-contact and support education and counselling activities, as well as international cooperation.

Representatives of the A3 Association informed President Milanović about their work and ongoing cooperation with experts from companies and institutions in the science and education sector, who are willing to participate in Croatia’s aerospace program by planning and implementing projects at home and abroad.

The development, installation and launch of the first Croatian satellite ‘2U CubeSat’, under the project name ‘Perun 1’, was also discussed. Speaking about the ‘Perun 1’ project, the representatives of A3 said their plan was to launch the satellite in June 2023 and they informed President Milanović about the costs of the launch. It was emphasized that launching the satellite is the short-term goal and that members of the Association are working with students and young people whom they seek to educate about all aspects related to the organization and implementation of such a project, because education is their long-term goal, including the start of a university study programme.

The following representatives of the Adriatic Aerospace Association (A3) participated in the meeting with the President of the Republic Zoran Milanović: President Prof. Slobodan Danko Bosanac, Ph. D.; Adviser for Secondary Education Stevče Arsoski; Perun 1 Project Leader Mirela Obrić; Algebra University College student and Perun 1 Project Technical Manager Filip Kisić; Technical Adviser for Innovations and Business Planning Ida Srdić.
