Representatives of Foreign Investors Council of Croatia Present White Book “Competitiveness Has no Alternative“ to President Milanović

The President of the Republic Zoran Milanović received a delegation of the Foreign Investors Council of Croatia (FICC). The representatives of the FICC presented the new edition of the White Book “Competitiveness Has no Alternative” to President Milanović and provided an overview on the content of the document.

The White Book has been published regularly since 2013 and is the first document of its kind in which members of the Foreign Investors Council of Croatia (FICC) give their views on the current environment for foreign investments and constructive recommendations that encourage positive changes in the Croatian business environment. With President Milanović they discussed the current situation concerning foreign investments in Croatia and the content of the new edition of the White Book, its conclusions and recommendations as well as how to implement them in order to improve the business climate in terms of foreign investments in Croatia.

According to FICC president Mladen Fogec, the new edition of the White Book emphasizes the importance and necessity of a business climate that encourages the speed of decision-making and investment business processes, which directly contributes to competitiveness, accelerates development, stimulates return, stops emigration and attracts people whose ideas, capital and productivity can contribute to the development of the Republic of Croatia. On behalf of the FICC, Fogec expressed satisfaction at President Milanović having recognized the significance of this document, and underlined that they are open for dialogue on joint efforts aimed at improving the business climate and foreign investments in Croatia.

In the delegation of the Foreign Investment Council in Croatia’s meeting with President Milanović were president Mladen Fogec, vice-presidents Tomislav Šlat and Viktor Pavlinić, members of the Board of Directors Vedrana Jelušić Kašić and Zoltán Áldott as well as secretary-general Sandro Baričević. Alongside President Milanović at the meeting were Bartol Šimunić, Head of the Cabinet of the President of the Republic of Croatia, and Velibor Mačkić, Special Adviser to the President of the Republic for the Economy.
