President of the Republic Meets with Commander of Supreme Allied Command Transformation

The President of the Republic and Commander in Chief of the Croatian Armed Forces Zoran Milanović received in his Office the Commander of Supreme Allied Command Transformation (SACT) General André Lanata.

General Lanata informed President Milanović about the main activities of Supreme Allied Command Transformation, whereby the importance of holding regular consultations with NATO member countries was emphasized.

Preparations for the upcoming NATO summit were discussed at the meeting, especially in the context of current topics on the agenda of the Alliance. Both sides exchanged views on the broader dynamics affecting the decision-making process within NATO. In particular, the prospects for further enhancing cooperation between NATO and the EU were discussed.

Participating in the meeting with President Milanović alongside General André Lanata were Executive Assistant to SACT Colonel Olivier Celo and Political Adviser to SACT Julien Deruffe

Alongside the President of the Republic of Croatia were the Head of the Office of the President Orsat Miljenić, Chief of the General Staff of the Croatian Armed Forces Admiral Robert Hranj, Adviser to the President of the Republic for Defense and National Security Dragan Lozančić, Adviser to the President of the Republic for Foreign and European Policy Neven Pelicarić and Commander of the Croatian Air Force and Air Defense Brigadier General Michael Križanec.
