Ivica Olujić Appointed Adviser to the President of the Republic for Defense, Dragan Lozančić Remains Adviser for National Security

The President of the Republic Zoran Milanović appointed Ivica Olujić Adviser to the President of the Republic of Croatia for Defense. The Decision on the Appointment of Ivica Olujić as Adviser to the President of the Republic for Defense is effective 1 February 2023. Dragan Lozančić who served as Adviser to the President of the Republic for Defense and National Security further holds the post of Adviser to the President of the Republic for National Security.

Ivica Olujić is a retired Major General who served as Director of the General Staff of the Croatian Armed Forces until December 1922. Prior to that post, which he held until May 2020, he was the Military Attaché of the Republic of Croatia to the United States of America from 2016 to 2020. He also served as the Military Representative of the Republic of Croatia to NATO Allied Command Transformation. Ivica Olujić spent two terms on command duty in the ISAF military mission. He completed the highest military education in Croatia and abroad.
