On its 95th Anniversary, President Milanović Visits Croatian Hunting Federation

The President of the Republic Zoran Milanović paid a visit to the Croatian Hunting Federation, which is celebrating the 95th anniversary of its establishment. The President of the Croatian Hunting Federation Đuro Dečak and his associates acquainted President Milanović with the history and tradition of the Federation, which today serves as an umbrella organization for all local hunting associations in the 20 counties of Croatia and the City of Zagreb.

President Milanović also toured the permanent exhibit of the Hunting Museum alongside the President of the Croatian Hunting Federation Đuro Dečak and museum curator Alenka Bošnjak. The Croatian Hunting Federation is a non-governmental, non-profit group that brings together some 67,000 members from Croatia’s local hunting associations. Commenting on the hunting tradition in Croatia, the heads of the Croatian Hunting Federation pointed out that the Lovački vjesnik journal has been published continuously for 130 years, making it the second oldest such publication in Europe.

Apart from the President of the Croatian Hunting Federation Đuro Dečak, the following persons met with the President of the Republic Zoran Milanović: Federation Vice-Presidents Mladen Balić, Zlatko Stolnik, Ljubomir Grgec, Vinko Pavlić and Graciano Prekalj; Federation Secretary Ivica Budor; Chief Editor of the Lovački vjesnik journal Ivica Stanko.
