The President of the Republic and Commander in Chief of the Croatian Armed Forces Zoran Milanović held a working meeting with the Chief of the General Staff Admiral Robert Hranj, the Commander of the Croatian Ground Forces Lieutenant General Boris Šerić, and the Director of the Croatian Army General Staff Major General Ivica Olujić.

At the meeting held in the Office of the President of the Republic, the current state of affairs in the Croatian Armed Forces was discussed with a focus on the need to develop the capabilities of the Croatian Ground Forces.

The military leadership presented to President Milanović the conclusions of a study on the necessity and possibilities for equipping the Croatian Ground Forces with combat vehicles on caterpillar tracks. In this context, the US Government’s offer of the Bradley Fighting Vehicles was analyzed in detail. The American offer, which includes donation and modernization of the vehicles and the equipment, expires at the end of January 2022, therefore it is imperative to make a decision in the shortest possible time.
