The President of the Republic Zoran Milanović attended an event marking Brdovec Municipality Day and the unveiling of a monument dedicated to the fallen defenders of Croatia from the Municipality of Brdovec.
After the wreath laying and the lighting of candles at the monument to the fallen Croatian defenders named U mojem je kraju moj početak, speeches were made. In his remarks, President Milanović said that he had come to unveil the monument “because of our boys who died, and that must not be forgotten.”
“The monument is beautiful, their names are there,” said the President, adding that both our generation and the next one will remember the fallen Croatian defenders. “May they rest in peace in our soil, Croatian soil, and eternal glory to them,” President Milanović said in conclusion.
