President Milanović Attends Iftar on the Occasion of Ramadan Bayram

At the invitation of the President of the Meshihat of the Islamic Community of Croatia Mufti Aziz Hasanović, the President of the Republic Zoran Milanović attended a formal reception and dinner / iftar on the occasion of Ramadan Bayram celebrations, where he delivered an address in which he extended Bayram congratulations to all citizens of the Islamic faith.

“I extend heartfelt congratulations to you on Bayram. My wish is for us to talk as often as possible and exchange opinions, because people tend to reciprocate and help, but they also expect reciprocity. Only in this way can nations, peoples and religions function. I am ready to pledge all that I can in this regard,” President Milanović told guests gathered at the ceremony in the Westin Zagreb Hotel.

The President of the Meshihat of the Islamic Community of Croatia Mufti and Academician Aziz Hasanović, who hosted the event, extended his congratulations on Ramadan Bayram to all citizens of the Islamic faith, as did the Mayor of Zagreb Tomislav Tomašević, Minister of Culture and Media and envoy of the Croatian Prime Minister Nina Obuljen Koržinek, and Deputy Speaker of the Croatian Parliament and envoy of the Speaker of the Croatian Parliament Academician Željko Reiner. Adviser to the President of the Republic for Education Jadranka Žarković was alongside President Milanović.
