President Milanović Attends Premiere of Documentary Film “Demo“

The President of the Republic Zoran Milanović attended the premiere of the documentary film “Demo” directed by Branko Schmidt and featuring retired Croatian army colonel Miodrag Demo at the Croatian National Theatre.

The documentary film “Demo” produced by Croatian Radio and Television (HRT) was in the works for two years and filmed in just ten days. It traces the story of Miodrag and his wife Marija during the Homeland War and Miodrag’s uncertain fate after he was seriously wounded.

“I liked the film, yet it is a difficult and sad story, and in the end it’s nice because the man subsequently found a profound meaning of life. There aren’t many cases like Demo’s, he was a commander from the first to the last day of the war, he was wounded, he could have been killed, but he survived. Stories like this one aren’t very common and therefore not many films are like this one. This is a unique story”, President Milanović said after the premiere.
