President Milanović condemns incident in Split: That is a punishable offense and the culprits should be held accountable
“Pitiful, miserable, it should be punished, it is a punishable offense. And it is pitiful, because people, who are unable to defend themselves, were attacked in the centre of Split. I would separate the youth, there is hope for them, but this is a punishable act and the culprits should be held accountable. But, among them are troublemakers of my age, these need to be located, extradited and judged, HDZ members know how to do it. So that they wouldn’t think of doing it again. They shouldn’t be given too much publicity, that’s what they crave,” the President of the Republic Zoran Milanović said today, condemning the violent interruption of the Days of Serbian Culture event in Split, when masked attackers broke into the premises of the City District of Blatina last night.
“This is a desperate incident. It is a punishable offense for which one should be held accountable”, President Milanović repeated. “As a society, we need to see what our agendas are, what our actions are, and what we want to achieve. We want to become a normal society in which there will be no fear”, President Milanović added.
