President Milanović Meets with MedILS Representatives

The President of the Republic Zoran Milanović met in his Office with representatives of the Mediterranean Institute for Life Sciences – MedILS, co-founder Professor Miroslav Radman and Acting Director Jelena Ružić, who informed the President about the activities of the institute.

The primary goal of MedILS is to improve public health through the detection and development of targeted prevention of common diseases, new diagnostic methods and treatment of age-related diseases, and by conducting top biomedical research of cancer and age-related diseases, MedILS representatives said.

Cooperation between the institute and the higher education community and the mobility of visiting scientists at MedILS, as well as the institute’s current research projects that are led by prominent Croatian scientists were among the topics discussed at the meeting.
