President Milanović Opens Croatian Soldiers’ Competition “Physical Readiness Challenge – VIRIBUS UNITIS“

The President of the Republic and Commander in Chief of the Croatian Armed Forces Zoran Milanović attended the opening of the 6^th competition of physical readiness “Physical Readiness Challenge – VIRIBUS UNITIS” in the “1^st Croatian Guards Brigade” barracks.

In addressing the contestants from various Croatian institutions, President Milanović said that every soldier, police officer and firefighter must always be physically fit. “With the years it is no longer the most important thing, but it is an issue of impression and seriousness when you look like someone whom the citizens dare and want to trust with their security”, the President stated.

“I wish you a successful competition with no injuries whatsoever because that’s the worst thing in sports. I wish that you come out of this even stronger, and as I can see at first sight you are indeed. Together you are a great team”, President Milanović said, proclaiming the 6^th competition of physical readiness open.
