President Milanović Receives Delegation of Green-Left Coalition that Presented Signatures for a Petition for the Reconstruction of Zagreb

The President of the Republic Zoran Milanović received a delegation of the Green-Left Coalition made up of the coordinator of the political platform “MOŽEMO!” (We Can) Sandra Benčić, the coordinator of the political platform “Zagreb je NAŠ!” (Zagreb Is Ours) Tomislav Tomašević, and the vice president of “Nova ljevica” (The New Left) Rada Borić.

The delegation of the Green-Left Coalition submitted to President Milanović the signatures that have been collected in the Petition for the Reconstruction of Zagreb and its surroundings following the earthquake, which calls for a special session of the Croatian Parliament to be convened. During their talks with President Milanović, they explained the reasons for having initiated the collection of signatures, and informed him of their expectations that a procedure be launched at the first sitting of the Croatian Parliament for adopting legislative solutions for the reconstruction of Zagreb and its surroundings. They said that it is important for the bill to be debated in two readings as to bring a quality and sustainable solution with the participation of professional organizations.
