The brigade’s first combat mission was in an operation liberating the community of Kruševo in July 1991 and it subsequently took part in all major defence and liberating operations. During the Homeland War, 195 members of the 4th Guards Brigade were killed, four are still listed as missing and almost 1,600 were wounded.
