President Milanović Receives RACVIAC Delegation on the Occasion of the Organization’s 25 Years of Work
The President of the Republic Zoran Milanović received today a delegation of RACVIAC (Regional Arms Control Verification and Implementation Assistance Centre) on the occasion of the international organization’s 25 years of work in the Republic of Croatia.
The Director of RACVIAC Constantin-Mihail Grigorie informed President Milanović of RACVIAC’s work as well as their activities and plans. RACVIAC is an international, independent, non-profit and academic organization founded with the aim of promoting dialogue and security cooperation and is an important instrument for strengthening stability and security in South-East Europe.
The Agreement on founding RACVIAC was signed on 14 April 2000 by the Republic of Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, the Hellenic Republic, the Republic of Croatia, the Republic of Macedonia, the Republic of Serbia, the Republic of Türkiye and Romania. Fourteen countries associate members, six countries observers as well as Kosovo that has special status within RACVIAC participate in the Centre’s work. Currently nine countries have permanent representatives in RACVIAC: Albania, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Hungary, Romania, North Macedonia, Türkiye and Kosovo.
The delegation of RACVIAC besides the Director included Deputy Director Rear Admiral Predrag Stipanović and Business and MAG secretary Glorija Ivković. Alongside the President of the Republic were the Adviser to the President for Defense Ivica Olujić, the Adviser to the President for Foreign and European Policy Neven Pelicarić and the Head of the Military Office in the Cabinet for Defense and National Security of the Office of the President Brigadier General Ivica Kranjčević.
