President Milanović Receives Representatives of Municipality of Lipovljani and Members of Local Cultural and Artistic Clubs
The President of the Republic Zoran Milanović received a delegation of the Municipality of Lipovljani and representatives of local cultural and artistic clubs.
At the meeting the representatives of cultural and artistic clubs from Lipovljani introduced their clubs to President Milanović, which included members of the Cultural and Artistic Club “Lipa”, Matica Slovačka, the Ukrainian Cultural and Educational Club “Karpati” and the Czech Beseda.
The President of the Republic accepted patronage of the event “Lipovljanski susreti 2021”, and expressed his support for the work and activities of the members of the cultural and artistic clubs from Lipovljani. He commended their work in promoting the identity of Lipovljani as an area of community life and respect for various ethnic communities, and promoting the cultural heritage of national minorities in Croatia, particularly in western Slavonia.
Attending the meeting with President Milanović were the head of the Municipality of Lipovljani Nikola Horvat, deputy head Ljiljana Tomić and the president of the Municipal Council Tomislav Lukšić, member of Cultural and Artistic Club “Lipa“ Lipovljani Matea Dujić, members of Matica Slovačka Lipovljani Martina Horvat and Kristijan Sudra, president of the Ukrainian Cultural and Educational Club “Karpati” Lipovljani Ivan Semenjuk and member Štefka Semenjuk, and members of the Czech Beseda Lipovljani Željka Uhitil and Teodor Fuljatić.
Alongside President Milanović at the meeting was the Adviser for Human Rights and Civil Society Melita Mulić.
