“I extend my condolences to the families who have suffered losses, our fellow citizens. Here, unfortunately, five people have been some sort of curse, damnation. A huge thank you to all those who are working, those whose job it is and those who have volunteered and demonstrated human intentions”, President Zoran Milanović said during his tour of the community of Majske Poljane, one of the quake-stricken areas of Sisak-Moslavina County.

Regarding Majske Poljane and Strašnik, President Milanović noted that they are areas that have been part of the entire Croatian history and were always on the front line whether wars or natural disasters, but always managed to bravely and inspiringly pull through. “At this moment they should know that not only we are with them, but in circumstances such as these ones there is no Zagreb, no Glina, no Majske Poljane, no Petrinja. We exist all together with the same right to a new beginning. Five people have been killed here. Doom, what should I say. Once again thanks to all those who are making efforts, who are working and who intend to work, in the first place the Croatian army, President Milanović said in Majske Poljane.
