President Milanović to Present Decorations, Medals, Promotions and Commendations to Members of Croatian Armed Forces at Knin Fortress

The President of the Republic and Commander in Chief of the Croatian Armed Forces Zoran Milanović will host an official reception for wartime commanders on the occasion of the observance of Victory and Homeland Gratitude Day and Croatian Defenders Day, and the 27^th Anniversary of the Military and Police Operation Storm. The reception will be held on Thursday, 4 August 2022 at the Knin Fortress.

At the reception, President Milanović will present decorations, medals, promotions and commendations to members of the Croatian Armed Forces. The Order of the Croatian Trefoil will be presented to the men’s choir Klapa Sveti Juraj of the Croatian Navy for extraordinary services in promoting the reputation of the Republic of Croatia and the Croatian Armed Forces.

Academic excellence gold medals will be awarded to the best male student of the 44^th generation of Advanced NCO Training Staff Sergeant Boro Jukić and the best female student of the 27^th generation of Leadership Development Training Corporal Ivana Vučemilović – Vranjić.

President Milanović will also present promotions at the Knin Fortress. Five Lieutenant Colonels were promoted to the rank of Colonel: Davor Gren, Ante Jukić, Roberto Kramarić, Davor Misir and Jozo Stažić. Major Marina Jurčić was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel, and her fellow soldiers Major Darko Bjelivuk, Major Krešimir Letica, Major Mario Majetić, Major Marijo Preost and Major Ivan Rubil were promoted to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel as well. 

Twenty-one Captains were promoted to the rank of Major, including eight female Captains. Seventeen male First Lieutenants were promoted to the rank of Captain and four female First Lieutenants were promoted to the rank of Captain. One Lieutenant Junior Grade (N) was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant (N). Fifty-five Second Lieutenants were promoted to the rank of First Lieutenant, including 12 women. A total of 105 members of the Croatian Armed Forces were promoted.

For achieving above-average results in the performance of their assigned duties, the following were commended by the Commander in Chief: Colonel Antun Čičak, Colonel Miroslav Kranjčec, Colonel Tomislav Pavičić, Colonel Nenad Samardžić, Lieutenant Colonel Bernard Bartoluci, Lieutenant Colonel Dražen Milinović, Major Snježana Ćutuk, Major Marko Mesić, Major Nenad Santini, Sergeant Major Alen Cvetko, Sergeant First Class Miro Jaman and Sergeant First Class Mate Vlastelica. A total of 12 members of the Croatian Armed Forces received commendations.

Musical performances by the decorated Klapa Sveti Juraj of the Croatian Navy, Klapa Sveti Mihovil of the Croatian Police and the Small Jazz Ensemble of the Croatian Navy Orchestra will add to the splendour of the evening at the official reception for wartime commanders hosted by the President of the Republic at the Knin Fortress.
