President Milanović Visits Municipality of Bale

The President of the Republic Zoran Milanović visited the Municipality of Bale today, and held a working meeting with Municipal leaders. The Head of the Municipality Edi Pastrovicchio, the Deputy Head from the ranks of the Italian minority Fabrizio Fioretti, the President of the Municipal Council Vedran Šetić, and the director of the Municipality of Bale Tourist Board Sandi Drandić acquainted President Milanović with the Municipality’s economic situation as well as with future development projects. They highlighted that in the last eighteen years Bale has become one of the most developed municipalities in Istria, which is demonstrated by the significant growth of the GDP per capita.

After the meeting, President Milanović visited the “Soardo-Bembo” palace where he met with members of the Italian Community, and toured the newly-constructed building housing a nursery and sports halls in Bale.

Alongside President Milanović was the Adviser for Human Rights and Civil Society Melita Mulić.
