The President of the Republic Zoran Milanović visited Nanobit company specializing in the development of mobile applications and games.

The President of the Republic held a meeting at Nanobit with its founders and CEOs Alan Sumina and Zoran Vučinić as well as with the Head of Games Jure Rašić, Art Director Iva Topolovec and the Head of Finances Vladislav Peruško. There was discussion of the company’s activity that is publicly listed for computer and related activities, and its core business includes design, production and maintenance of software, primarily mobile games. Their games have been downloaded more than 150 million times in over 100 countries worldwide.

“I dream of the day when this company will purchase the Swedish company and that day will come. I hope we’ll see it happen”, President Milanović said, referring to the sale of Nanobit company to the Swedish Stillfront Group in October 2020. The Swedish Stillfront Group is one of the world’s largest gaming companies and is the market leader in the free-to-play narrative lifestyle gaming genre.

Furthermore, the President is fascinated by the company being totally oriented to the global market and employing a small number of people who make a lot of money. “Since I am the Croatian president and have to think in general terms as much as possible, Croatia needs twenty companies such as this one”, President Milanović noted. “They’re successful, they sold themselves in the most positive sense of the word, but we need more success stories such as this. Because this is a story that’s been sold in a legitimate, civilized and legal way. People in California and Texas are buying the story and paying for it”, the President said after the tour and presentation of the company’s facilities.

Accompanying President Milanović on his visit to Nanobit were the Head of the Cabinet of the President Bartol Šimunić and the Special Adviser to the President for the Economy Velibor Mačkić.
