President Milanović visits Terezijana in Bjelovar, largest tourist and cultural manifestation of central Croatia
The President of the Republic Zoran Milanović visited the Terezijana event in Bjelovar, a traditional event being held for the 26th consecutive year. At the Terezijana event he watched the feature event, a ceremonial imperial procession staging the arrival of Empress Maria Theresa to Bjelovar. Historical military units from all over Croatia paraded down the city streets and central park.
Terezijana is the largest tourist, cultural and entertainment event of central Croatia that is taking place from 15 to 19 June 2022 on the streets and in the squares of Bjelovar. Customs and traditions from Bjelovar are featured at the Terezijana event, as well as theatrical scenes inspired by legends on the defense of Bilogora villages from the Ottoman conquerors, a rich musical and cultural programme, an agricultural and crafts fair, and the local gastronomy through the Okusi Bilogore (Flavours of Bilogora) programme.
The patrons of the 26th edition of the Terezijana event are the President of the Republic of Croatia and the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, and the host of the event is the Bilogora-Bjelovar Tourist Board in conjunction with the City of Bjelovar.
