President of the Republic of Malta George Vella to Pay State Visit to the Republic of Croatia

At the invitation of the President of the Republic of Croatia Zoran Milanović, the President of the Republic of Malta George Vella and his wife will pay a State visit to the Republic of Croatia from 26 to 29 October 2021.

The State visit of the President of the Republic of Malta will start on Wednesday, 27 October by a meeting with the President of the Republic Zoran Milanović in the Office of the President of the Republic of Croatia. After the official welcoming ceremony in the Office of the President of the Republic of Croatia, a tête-à-tête will be held between the two Presidents, followed by a bilateral meeting between the official delegations of the Republic of Croatia and the Republic of Malta. After the meeting with the President of the Republic, the President of the Republic of Malta George Vella will lay a wreath at the “Voice of the Croatian Victims – Wall of Pain” Memorial at Mirogoj cemetery.

During his stay in the Republic of Croatia, the President of the Republic of Malta George Vella will meet with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Croatia Andrej Plenković and the Speaker of the Croatian Parliament Gordan Jandroković.

In the scope of the State visit to the Republic of Croatia, the President of the Republic of Malta George Vella will also visit Varaždin. There together with his wife, the President of the Republic of Malta will tour the fortress and the Old Town, the centre of Varaždin and the Varaždin Cathedral in the company of Varaždin County Prefect Anđelko Stričak and the Mayor of Varaždin Neven Bosilj.
