President of the Republic Receives Heads of Military Police Homeland War Defenders and Veterans Association

The President of the Republic Zoran Milanović received in his Office the heads of the Military Police Homeland War Defenders and Veterans Association in the run-up to the marking of the 30th anniversary of the formation of the Military Police. The delegation of the Military Police Homeland War Defenders and Veterans Association included Željko Jakobčić, President of the Association, Jakov Stanušić, Vice President of the Association and Mate Laušić, President of the Association’s Council.

The Military Police was formed on the 24th of August 1991. The representatives of the Association acquainted President Milanović with the plans for marking the 30th anniversary of its formation, which the President endorsed. The meeting also discussed the circumstances in which the Military Police was established 30 years ago, as well as the organizational structure in which it operated.

Special Adviser to the President of the Republic for Homeland War Veterans Marijan Mareković attended the meeting alongside President Milanović.
