The President of the Republic will not propose any of the applicants of the 6 July public call for the position of President of the Supreme Court

The President of the Republic will not propose to the Croatian Parliament any of the applicants for the position of President of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Croatia in the public call of 6 July 2025. Since he will not propose anyone as candidate for President of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Croatia, he will not request opinions from the Judiciary Committee of the Croatian Parliament and the Supreme Court of the Republic of Croatia.

In accordance with the Constitution of the Republic of Croatia, the President of the Republic is the only authorized proposer of candidates for President of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Croatia, and the opinions of the Judiciary Committee and the General Session of the Supreme Court are not binding on the President of the Republic as proposer.
