Trilateral Meeting of the Presidents of Croatia, Slovenia and Austria to be held on the 15th of July in the Republic of Slovenia

The President of the Republic of Croatia Zoran Milanović will pay a working visit to the Republic of Slovenia on 15 July 2021, where he will participate in a Trilateral Meeting of the Heads of State of the Republic of Austria, the Republic of Slovenia and the Republic of Croatia.

The Trilateral Meeting of the President of the Republic of Austria Alexander Van der Bellen, the President of the Republic of Slovenia Borut Pahor and the President of the Republic of Croatia Zoran Milanović will be held in Kostanjevica na Krki (Dolenjska) in the Republic of Slovenia.

The main topic of this Trilateral Meeting will be the future of the European Union and the challenges the EU faces in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic. The Presidents will focus on the pandemic recovery, which should be used as much as possible for the transition towards environmentally sustainable development. The three Presidents will also discuss expectations from the Conference on the Future of Europe. They will place special focus on strengthening friendly relations between neighbouring countries and will also address the situation in the region of Southeast Europe. In this context, they will discuss maintaining the European perspective of the Western Balkan countries and security challenges in the European neighbourhood.
