President Milanović Receives Delegation of Orlec Folklore Society Celebrating 60 Years of Preserving Cres Island Folk Tradition
The President of the Republic Zoran Milanović today received a delegation from the Orlec Folklore Society, which has been nurturing and preserving the folk customs, songs, dances, costumes, music, and distinct local dialect of the island of Cres for six full decades. Alongside members of the Orlec Folklore Society, representatives of the Town of Cres attended the reception at the Office of the President were Mayor Marin Gregorović, President of the Town Council and member of the Society Marina Medarić, and Head of the Professional Affairs Department for the Mayor and Town Council Walter Salković.

In his address, he highlighted the historical importance of the Faculty of Law for Croatian statehood, while also warning of the modern challenges facing the legal profession, primarily due to the rapid advancement of artificial intelligence.

The President of the Republic Zoran Milanović today presented the Order of the Croatian Star with the Effigy of Katarina Zrinska to the second group of voluntary blood donors honoured for 2024 at a reception held at the Office of the President of the Republic. This high distinction is awarded in recognition of the noble and humanitarian act of donating blood more than 100 times by men and more than 75 times by women.

Men who have donated at least a hundred times and women who have donated at least seventy-five times will be honoured.
