12:20 - The President of the Republic and Commander in Chief of the Croatian Armed Forces will take part in a ceremony to welcome the inaugural delivery of Rafale multi-purpose fighter jets to Croatia (“Pukovnik Marko Živković” Barracks, Klarići 50c) The President of the Republic will give an address

NOTE: In order to cover the arrival of the jets and the ceremony programme at the “Pukovnik Marko Živković” Barracks, media representatives must arrive at Pleso on Thursday, 25 April 2024 no later than 11 o’clock, using the entrance from the old terminal of Zagreb International Airport, i.e. from the Rudolf Perešin Technical School in Velika Gorica via Rudolf Fizir Street (western entrance to the barracks). Parking for journalists is available at the Technical School.

Please announce your arrival at the e-mail press@morh.hr, on Wednesday, 24 April 2024 by 16:00, and indicate that you are registering to cover the event at the barracks. The registration for media coverage should contain the following information: first and last name, media outlet, status (journalist, cameraman, photographer), mobile number, press ID card or identity card number.

We kindly request that media representatives covering the event at the barracks use rain suits or raincoats for protection from the forecasted rain and wind. Due to safety regulations, umbrellas, hats, scarves, or any other items that could potentially fly away and endanger flight safety are not advisable on the airport apron.

11:00 - The Head of the Office of the President of the Republic Orsat Miljenić will participate in the commemoration of the Remembrance Day of the Victims of the Jasenovac concentration camp as the envoy of the President of the Republic, Zoran Milanović. Alongside his delegation, he will honour all the victims by laying flowers (“Stone Flower” monument).

NOTE: The President’s arrival in Opatija is planned at 12 o’clock, in front of the swimming area “Slatina” (Perivoj Slatina). Accompanied by his host, the President of the Republic will proceed to “Villa Angiolina” using the promenade by the sea.

NOTE: The ascent on Klek Mountain will begin at 10 o’clock at the start of the mountaineering path towards “Klek” Mountain Lodge at Bjelsko. The “Gama Lov” Hunting Lodge (Potok Musulinski, Bjelsko) can be reached by car, while the “Klek” Mountain Lodge can only be reached on foot.
