On the occasion of National Day of Nikola Tesla – Day of Science, Technology and Innovation, which is marked on the 10th of July, the President of the Republic will visit the Research Centre of Excellence for Advanced Materials and Sensing Devices of the Ruđer Bošković Institute (Bijenička cesta 54) The President of the Republic will visit a unit that is part of the Laboratory for Ion Beam Interactions at the Division of Experimental Physics of the Ruđer Bošković Institute where he will be informed about the research activities of the Centre and tour the currently largest and most complex experimental facility in Croatia – the tandem accelerator system.

The document “Long-term Banija Development Vision” was prepared by a Working Group composed of members of the Economic Council of the President of the Republic of Croatia and external experts in the fields of economics, sociology, anthropology and urban planning. The document will be presented to representatives of regional and local self-government units from Sisak-Moslavina County, representatives of economic entities, non-governmental organizations and representatives of higher education institutions from the County, in order to contribute to the long-term, systematic reconstruction of earthquake-affected areas that is based on expertise and through public and expert debate
