9:30 - The President of the Republic and Commander in Chief of the Croatian Armed Forces Zoran Milanović will stay in Petrinja and Glina on New Year’s Day, where he will tour the earthquake-stricken areas and visit members of the Croatian Army who are helping residents (Pukovnik Predrag Matanović Barracks).

10:00 - The President of the Republic will visit the site of the “Pigik” Hotel in Petrinja (Voćarska 20), where members of the Croatian Army are helping to distribute humanitarian aid.

After that, a visit to the town of Glina is planned and to the sites where members of the Croatian Army are setting up containers for the temporary accommodation of earthquake victims (Prekopa 113 and 117).

11:00 - The President of the Republic Zoran Milanović will tour the earthquake-stricken areas of Sisak-Moslavina County. At 11:00 the President of the Republic will visit the barracks in Petrinja where relevant officials will brief him on the situation in the earthquake-stricken areas.

After Petrinja, President Milanović will tour the community of Majske Poljane (President's arrival expected around 12:00). Subsequently, he will tour the "Sherif" Wood Centre in Glina where the families whose homes have been destroyed in the earthquake have been accommodated (President's arrival expected around 12:30).

10:00 - The President of the Republic Zoran Milanović will tour the earthquake afflicted areas of the cities of Sisak and Petrinja. The arrival of the President of the Republic in front of the county building in Sisak is planned at 10 o’clock. The President’s arrival in Petrinja is planned at approximately 11 o’clock.

15:00 - The President of the Republic and Commander in Chief of the Croatian Armed Forces will take part in a celebration marking the 29th anniversary of the foundation of the Croatian Air Force (“Pukovnik Marko Živković“ barracks at Pleso)

An address by the President of the Republic is planned

15:30 - The President of the Republic and Commander in Chief of the Croatian Armed Forces will participate in a ceremony marking the 29th anniversary of the foundation of the “Dr. Franjo Tuđman“ Croatian Defence Academy, and the graduation ceremony of undergraduate and graduate students of the Military Engineering and Military Leadership and Management study programmes. The ceremony will be held in the offices of the 9th Guards Brigade “Vukovi” in the “Petar Zrinski” barracks (Croatian Defence Academy “Dr. Franjo Tuđman“, Ilica 256b)

12:00 - The President of the Republic will receive the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergei Lavrov (Pantovčak 241)

OFFICE OF THE PRESIDENT

11:00 - The President of the Republic will participate in the 1st Session of the Economic Council of the President of the Republic of Croatia (Pantovčak 241). NOTE: Photographers and cameramen may record the start of the session. Statements will be given after the session by the President of the Republic and the Council Chair and Special Adviser to the President of the Republic for the Economy Asst. Prof. Velibor Mačkić, Ph. D.

19:00 - The President of the Republic will attend the presentation of the exhibition entitled: “Protreseni MUO: od potresa do potresa 1880. – 2020.“ (Shaken Museum of Arts and Crafts: from Earthquake to Earthquake 1880-2020”), dedicated to the 140th anniversary of the Museum of Arts and Crafts (Trg Republike Hrvatske 10). An address by the President of the Republic is planned who will officially open the exhibition for the public.

ŠKABRNJA

9:30 - The envoy of the President of the Republic Dragan Lozančić, Adviser to the President of the Republic for Defense and National Security, will take part in the observance of the 29th anniversary of the massacre in Škabrnja.

VUKOVAR

11:00 - On the occasion of the Day of Remembrance of the Homeland War Victims and the Day of Remembrance of the Vukovar and Škabrnja Victims, the President of the Republic Zoran Milanović will pay tribute to the Vukovar victims by laying a wreath and lighting a candle at the Memorial near the mass grave at Ovčara.

20:00 - The President of the Republic will attend the premiere of the documentary film entitled “Demo” in the Croatian National Theatre (Trg Republike Hrvatske 15)
