Croatian Armed Forces Day and Croatian Army Day Celebrations

8:30 - The envoy of the President of the Republic Dragan Lozančić, PhD, Adviser to the President of the Republic for Defense and National Security, will take part in a joint wreath-laying ceremony at the “Voice of the Croatian Victims – Wall of Pain” Memorial, at the central cross in the walkway of the Fallen Croatian Defenders, at the tomb of the first President of the Republic of Croatia Dr. Franjo Tuđman at Mirogoj Cemetery, and at the common grave to the Unidentified Victims of the Homeland War at the Crematorium.

10:00 - The President of the Republic and Commander in Chief of the Croatian Armed Forces will participate in a special programme marking Croatian Armed Forces Day and Croatian Army Day at the Dr. Franjo Tuđman Croatian Defence Academy (Ilica 256b) After the ceremonial inspection of the honourary unit, the President of the Republic will bestow ranks and commendations upon members of the Croatian Army.

13:00 - The President of the Republic of Croatia and the President of the Republic of Slovenia will hold a working meeting, which will be followed by statements to the press of both presidents (Dom kulture, Vrazov trg 1)

11:00 - On the occasion of Europe Day, the President of the Republic will visit the University of Zagreb Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing (Unska 3)

In addition to a meeting with representatives of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing and their presentation focusing on EU projects, the President of the Republic will tour the Laboratory for Renewable Energy Systems (LARES), will attend a presentation of exhibited robots from the Laboratory for Autonomous Systems and Mobile Robotics (LAMOR), and will talk to scientists from Sweden, Germany and Norway via video link.

10:30 - The President of the Republic will visit the Modern Gallery in Zagreb, which was opened after a pause due to the pandemic and earthquake in which it was damaged, and view a retrospective exhibition of works of Vatroslav Kuliš created from 1974 until present (Modern Gallery, Andrije Hebranga 1)
