President Milanović in Koprivnica: Where it is not in power, the HDZ obstructs projects of municipalities and towns

“The same story everywhere! Wherever the HDZ is not in power, people experience a neglectful relationship from the level of government held by the HDZ. This is the matrix according to which they act in Croatia, and then Plenković, in his semi-racist outbursts, divides Croatia into Dinaric and Pannonian. I feel at home both here and in Imotski,” the President of the Republic Zoran Milanović said today in Koprivnica, which he visited at the invitation of the mayor of Koprivnica and the heads of the surrounding municipalities. He said that the people there are fighting against the tyranny of the HDZ, adding that they complained their projects are being obstructed.

Accompanied by the Mayor of Koprivnica Mišel Jakšić and Deputy Mayor Ksenija Ostriž, as well as the Head of the Municipality of Đelekovec Lara Samošćanec and the Head of the Municipality of Peteranec Ivan Derdić, President Milanović visited the facilities being built in these municipalities. First, he visited the construction site of a new preschool in the Municipality of Đelekovec, and then the site of the construction of the Sports and Recreation Centre “Panonija” in the Municipality of Peteranec, which is being resumed.

During his stay in Koprivnica, the President of the Republic visited the production facility of the paper packaging plant Hartmann papirna ambalaža Ltd., where Director Dario Šumiga informed him about the operations of the company, which specializes in the production of paper and cardboard products, mainly egg packaging. President Milanović was accompanied by Velibor Mačkić, Special Adviser to the President of the Republic for the Economy.
