President Milanović Meets with Croatian Maritime Law Association Delegation

The President of the Republic Zoran Milanović held a meeting today at the Office of the President with members of the Croatian Maritime Law Association, an alliance of scientists, professionals, companies and institutions whose activities are related to maritime affairs.

The Croatian Maritime Law Association was founded in 1991 with a mission to study, promote and encourage the advancement of Croatian maritime and shipping law. At the meeting with the President of the Republic, it was pointed out that in the past 30 years of work the Association organized or co-organized over 40 scientific and expert events at home and abroad that focused on a wide range of maritime law topics. Likewise, the Association cooperates with various institutions in Croatia in the drafting of laws and other regulations in relation to the marine field, maritime affairs, seaports and the maritime domain.

Croatia has excellent experts in maritime law, said the representatives of the Croatian Maritime Law Association, which is a member of the International Association of Maritime Law Societies.

Attending the meeting at the Office of the President were the President of the Croatian Maritime Law Association Associate Professor Dr. Gordan Stanković, former Vice Presidents Professor Dr. Dragan Bolanča and Professor Dr. Dorotea Ćorić, Vice Presidents Professor Dr. Petra Amižić Jelovčić, Associate Professor Dr. Adriana Vincenca Padovan, Assistant Professor Dr. Mišo Mudrić and Assistant Professor Dr. Iva Tuhtan Grgić, as well as Secretary General of the Association Dr. Igor Vio.

Adviser to the President of the Republic for Human Rights and Civil Society Melita Mulić was alongside President Milanović at the meeting.
