President Milanović Meets with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina Elmedin Konaković

The President of the Republic Zoran Milanović received today in the Office of the President the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina Elmedin Konaković, who is on an official visit to the Republic of Croatia.

President Milanović and Minister Konaković discussed bilateral relations between Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Euro-Atlantic integration of BiH and the country’s prospects for joining the European Union, with President Milanović reiterating his support for Bosnia and Herzegovina’s European ambition. Likewise, President Milanović highlighted the importance of implementing the Dayton Agreement, while placing special emphasis on the need to ensure the legitimate representation of all three constituent peoples of BiH at all levels of government. The situation in Southeast Europe and the consequences of Russia’s aggression against Ukraine were also discussed at the meeting.

Minister Konaković was accompanied at the meeting by the Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the Republic of Croatia Aleksandar Vranješ, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina Josip Brkić, Head of the Cabinet of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina Zlatan Burzić, Head of the Cabinet of the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina Marina Gavran, Director of the Department for Neighbouring Countries Marijana Zubonja, Media Adviser Mirela Bubalo and Minister Counsellor in the Embassy of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the Republic of Croatia Sanja Eminović.

President Milanović was accompanied by the Ambassador of the Republic of Croatia to Bosnia and Herzegovina Ivan Sabolić, Adviser to the President of the Republic for Foreign and European Policy Neven Pelicarić, Adviser to the President of the Republic for National Security Dragan Lozančić and the Secretary of the Cabinet for Foreign and European Policy in the Office of the President Ivan Mutavdžić.
