President Milanović Receives Delegation of “Klub Sinjana Zagreb”
The President of the Republic Zoran Milanović received a delegation of the “Klub Sinjana Zagreb” (Club of Citizens of Sinj in Zagreb), a nonprofit association that assembles citizens of the City of Zagreb and Zagreb County, who are native of the Cetina region or the former Municipality of Sinj.
Representatives of the Club informed President Milanović of the initiative to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Croatian Spring. In appreciation of the significant number of worthy individuals from that time who were natives of Sinj and the Cetina region including Ante Miko Tripalo, Marko Veselica, Vladimir Veselica, Josip Šentija, Dražen Sesardić and others, the “Klub Sinjana” wishes to mark the anniversary of the Croatian Spring in a dignified manner, adequately highlighting the role of the participants of the Croatian Spring. At the meeting it was noted that a number of events have been planned to mark the Croatian Spring and includes those organized by “Matica hrvatska” (Matrix Croatica), namely a formal session, a scientific conference and a cultural exhibition.
In addition to the President of the “Klub Sinjana Zagreb” Davor Varenina and the President of “Matica hrvatska” Prof. Stipe Botica PhD, the meeting with the President of the Republic was attended by the Club’s Vice Presidents Ivan Bota MSc and Hrvoje Filipović Grčić, and by members of the Management Board Vladislav Veselica and Asst. Prof. Tomislav Župić PhD.
