President Milanović Receives Homeland War Volunteers and Veterans of Maruševec Municipality
The President of the Republic Zoran Milanović received a delegation of the “Udruga dragovoljaca i veterana Domovinskog rata – UDVDR”, (Association of Volunteers and Veterans of the Homeland War, Varaždin County subsidiary, Maruševec branch) as well as of the Municipality of Maruševec.
Members of the Association acquainted President Milanović with the activities and projects of this Association of Defenders. They also discussed the problems that the defenders face on a daily basis. This Association branch from Varaždin County presently numbers 212 members, and nearly ten percent of Maruševec residents participated in the Homeland
Also discussed were past and present infrastructure projects in the Municipality of Maruševec in which, besides the development of rural and hunting tourism, several companies are involved.
Attending the meeting with President Milanović were members of the Association of Volunteers and Veterans of the Homeland War of Varaždin County subsidiary, Maruševec branch, chairman and secretary Tihomir Buden, deputy chairman Josip Popijać, members of the Executive Board Željko Benčić and Slavko Mikačić, Association secretary Dražen Borak, members of the Honour Court Zvonko Premužić and Stjepan Posavec, Association members Mladen Buhin and Damir Makovec as well as the deputy head of the Municipality of Maruševec Mario Klapša.
