President Milanović Attends Opening of Exhibition “Protreseni MUO: od potresa do potresa 1880. – 2020.”

The President of the Republic Zoran Milanović attended the presentation of an exhibition entitled “Protreseni MUO: od potresa do potresa 1880. – 2020.” (Shaken Museum of Arts and Crafts: from Earthquake to Earthquake 1880-2020”), premiered in the Museum of Arts and Crafts. Through a series of thematic entities the exhibition portrays the indivisible fateful connection of the Museum of Arts and Crafts, which marks its 140th birthday this year, with the City of Zagreb.

In the company of the Museum’s director, President Milanović viewed the exhibition and, in his address, reminded of the disasters that Zagreb experienced over the past 150 years. “May this what happened in March of this year be and remain one of the biggest disasters which we, as a city, have experienced whether due to the will of nature or of the enemy”, the President noted.

He highlighted that Zagreb is a beautiful city, among the 20 most beautiful cities in Europe, and by its structure, concept, urbanization was designed and founded more than one hundred years ago. “Zagreb still needs a few finishing touches, and for this a partnership between the citizens, the owners, the city and the Croatian state is required”, President Milanović noted.
