President Milanović to Pay Official Visit to Republic of Chile

The President of the Republic of Croatia Zoran Milanović will pay an Official visit to the Republic of Chile from 8 to 15 December 2022 at the invitation of the President of the Republic of Chile Gabriel Boric.

During his Official visit to Chile, President Milanović will meet and hold discussions with Chilean President Boric in the capital Santiago where he will also deliver a lecture for the academic community and the diplomatic corps at the University of Santiago. In Valparaíso, the seat of Chile’s legislative branch, President Milanović will visit the National Congress of Chile and hold a meeting with the Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies of Chile Vlado Mirosevic.

Besides bilateral meetings with Chilean state officials, President Milanović will visit Croatian emigrants who live in Antofagasta in northern Chile, and Punta Arenas in southern Chile. In addition to his meetings and discussions with members of the Croatian community, President Milanović will also visit institutions, societies and landmarks of Croatian emigrants in Chile. In the scope of his stay in Chile, President Milanović will tour the European Southern Observatory and the largest optical telescope in the world located in Antofagasta region.

President Boric personally invited President Milanović to pay an Official visit to the Republic of Chile in a telephone conversation they had early this year following President Boric’s election to the office of President of Chile.
